Modules

Everything a hospital runs, module by module.

Each module works on the same patient record and the same bill. The tag on each one shows the plan it comes with.

01

OPD with doctor-wise tokens and queue

Registration and the OPD queue for the front desk, with a token series for each doctor that starts again every day.

Standard and above
  • Patient registration with an automatic UHID, a warning when the same name and phone already exist, allergies and an ABHA number field
  • Search by name, mobile number, UHID or ABHA number
  • A token number for each doctor, each day, given when the visit is booked
  • A live queue that refreshes on its own, for reception, nurses and doctors
  • A draft OPD bill opens with the doctor’s consultation fee as soon as the visit is booked
02

EMR and prescription

The consultation screen gives the doctor the patient’s history and writes a clean, printable prescription.

Standard and above
  • Vitals by the nurse or doctor: BP, pulse, temperature, SpO₂ and weight
  • Notes, diagnosis, advice and a follow-up date
  • Prescriptions from the hospital’s own formulary, showing live pharmacy stock as the doctor types
  • Previous visits and their prescriptions shown alongside
  • Only the treating doctor can write the notes, and a completed visit is locked
  • Advise admission straight from the visit, with the reason and ward
03

Billing with role-based discount limits

Bills build themselves from what was done, and discounts and refunds stay inside each person’s authority.

Standard and above
  • Charges from your price list, or entered by hand, with per-line discounts
  • Finalise, collect by cash, UPI, card, transfer or insurance, then refund or cancel if needed, and print the bill or receipt
  • Discount limits by role: a Billing Supervisor up to 5%, a Finance Manager up to 15%, and above that the group CFO or the hospital’s super admin
  • Refunds, bill cancellations and stock write-offs also follow each role’s limit
  • Overpayment is refused, and payments can never be edited or deleted
  • A dashboard of collections by payment mode and by sector: OPD, IPD, pharmacy, lab, imaging and OT
04

IPD, beds and wards

A live picture of every bed, and a running bill that collects everything done during the stay.

Standard and above
  • Wards with their type, floor and daily bed charge, and a bed board showing each bed as free, occupied, cleaning or blocked
  • Admit from the doctor’s advice in OPD: the patient, doctor and reason come across, and the desk picks a bed
  • Two desks can never fill the same bed, and a patient can’t be admitted twice
  • Doctor rounds, nursing notes, bed transfers and advance deposits
  • Bed charges worked out per 24 hours from admission, with lab, pharmacy and OT charges added to the same bill automatically
  • Discharge only after the discharge summary, a final bill and a settled patient balance
05

Pharmacy with FEFO stock and a prescription queue

The pharmacy sells the batch that expires first, and sees the doctors’ prescriptions as they are written.

Standard and above
  • Drug master with schedule (OTC, H, H1, X), suppliers and goods receipts, where each line becomes a batch with expiry, MRP and cost
  • FEFO: dispensing picks the earliest-expiring batches first, and bills each batch at its own MRP
  • A Prescriptions waiting queue: press Fill, and the prescription loads with suggested quantities
  • Schedule H, H1 and X drugs need a prescription or an active admission
  • Low-stock and 90-day expiry alerts, adjustments and expiry write-offs with a reason
  • A stock ledger that can only be added to, and stock that can never go below zero
06

Laboratory and radiology

From the doctor’s order to a signed report the doctor sees on the visit.

Professional and above
  • Orders from OPD, IPD or the front desk, routine or urgent, added to the right bill
  • Lab worklist with urgent tests first, sample collection with an accession number, and results flagged low, high or critical by the patient’s reference range
  • A pathologist other than the person who entered the values verifies and releases each report
  • Radiology: the technician marks the study done, and only a radiologist writes and signs the report
  • Unsigned results stay hidden from clinicians, and a signed report is locked
  • An optional hospital rule: payment before sample collection, with urgent, admitted and insured patients exempt
07

Operation Theatre with the WHO checklist

Theatre bookings, pre-op checks and the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist, with gates that stop a step being skipped.

Professional and above
  • Elective bookings can’t clash on theatre, surgeon, anaesthetist or patient. Emergencies are always accepted, with a warning.
  • Pre-op: surgical and anaesthesia consent, pre-anaesthetic check with ASA grade, nil by mouth and blood
  • WHO checklist: sign in, time out and sign out, in order, each signed once and never rewritten
  • Safety gates: consent and PAC before entering, sign in and time out before incision, sign out before closing. An emergency can pass a gate only with a written reason.
  • Only the operating surgeon signs the operation note. A signed note is locked, and corrections are addenda.
  • OT charges go on the admission’s running bill
08

Insurance and TPA

A desk for cashless and reimbursement cases, from pre-auth to the last rupee of settlement.

Enterprise
  • Insurers, TPAs, corporates and government schemes, and policies held on the patient
  • Pre-auth: draft, sent, query and reply, approved or denied, with enhancements and appeals
  • Agreed rates for each payer, applied to the bill when a claim is opened
  • The bill is split: the insurer’s share moves to “due from insurer”, and discharge checks only the patient’s share
  • Claim filing with a printable claim sheet and a document checklist
  • Settlements with UTR, TDS and disallowed amounts, and what each payer owes by age
  • Alerts when pre-auth, approval, filing or settlement time limits pass
09

MIS reports

Management reports for any period up to a year. Every table downloads as a CSV that opens in Excel.

Professional and above
  • Revenue: billed by sector, doctor and department, collected by payment mode, dues from patients and insurers
  • OPD: visits, new and returning patients, waiting and consultation times, by doctor and department
  • IPD: bed occupancy by ward, average length of stay, admissions and discharges by type
  • Operation Theatre: cases, cancellations, on-time starts, utilisation and WHO checklist completion
  • Insurance, lab and pharmacy: claims and settlements, test turnaround and critical results, sales, margin, stock and expiry
  • Definitions shown under each report, so everyone reads the figures the same way
10

Hospital groups

For chains: each hospital runs on its own, and group leadership sees all of them from one portal.

For hospital chains
  • A group portal with its own sign-in, listing the group’s hospitals with Open hospital on each
  • Chain dashboard: Group MIS with every hospital side by side, and group totals
  • Group roles: Chairman or MD, Group CEO or COO, Group CFO, Group Medical Director and Group HR Head, each with matching access inside every member hospital
  • The group CFO approves discounts above 15%, and any refund or write-off
  • Work done by group leaders inside a hospital is recorded in that hospital’s audit log
  • Closing a group login signs the person out of every hospital at once
11

Roles and hierarchy, with role hand-over and history

Designations as your HR team knows them, and access that follows the job, not the person’s title.

Every plan
  • Roles for management, department heads and staff: super admin, administrator, medical superintendent, finance, billing, reception, doctors, nurses, pharmacy, lab, radiology, OT and TPA
  • Heads can do their own staff’s work. Money authority comes only from the roles a person was given.
  • One person can hold several roles while a hospital is small
  • Hand roles over to a colleague in one step. Someone left with no role has their account closed, and their past work keeps their name.
  • Role history: who held each role, from when to when, and how each spell began and ended
  • Only the super admin manages management accounts
